Welcome to Sunburst Mercantile, where the spirit of the Southwest meets the charm of vintage treasures and thoughtfully curated finds. Based in Marana, Arizona, we are a Latina and military-spouse-owned small business, passionate about uncovering pieces with soul—each item with a story, each selection made with care.
Long before it had a name, back when I was just a little girl holding my Nana's hand as we wandered the aisles of dusty thrift stores and roadside mercados in Southern California. While most kids were drawn to the toy aisle, I was mesmerized by glass cases full of old jewelry, sun-worn postcards, and trinkets that seemed to whisper their own stories.
My Nana had a gift for finding beauty in the forgotten. She’d gently lift each item, turning it over like it was a tiny treasure, telling me, "Todo tiene historia—everything has a story." At the time, I didn’t fully understand the weight of those words, but I never forgot them.
As I grew older, I found myself returning to those same kinds of places—drawn to the charm of secondhand goods not just for their beauty, but for their soul. I realized that vintage isn't just stylish—it’s sustainable. Every preloved item we bring into our homes helps keep stories alive and landfills a little emptier. And in a world moving too fast, there’s something grounding about honoring the past.
Sunburst Mercantile was born from that blend of nostalgia, sustainability, and love for storytelling. Today, I curate each piece the way Nana taught me: slowly, thoughtfully, and with reverence for the hands that came before. From vintage jewelry and rustic décor to handmade body products and one-of-a-kind curiosities, each item in the shop is chosen to spark memory, warmth, and meaning.
